Adora really needs the sleep, she reminds herself as she shimmies down a little so she can rest her head against Adora's shoulder. Adora's had a very long day. Adora's used a lot of magic. Adora's exhausted.
Her ears twitch, listening to her breathing and heartbeat both slow. It's only once they've evened out that she finally feels brave enough to press a kiss against against Adora's skin, and to breathe out the "thanks for coming back for me" that's been stuck in her throat for too long now.
